Desktop X advice, Pleeeeeze.

Can anyone tell me if you can skin the taskbar in a DX theme?, (not via window blinds, but within the theme). And is it possible to have some kind of systray that can be placed anywhere on the desktop?

You can create a systray object or a taskbar object. Just create a new object (Blue circle) and then change the class to system tray or Taskbar. It defaults to a grey thing but you can easily create a taskbar in the style you want. See a theme that contains one to see how to skin it. minimalism 2000 contains both

Hah. My blatant plug warnings disappeared. Must have been the < and > signs.

Hmm. Must remember to use &+lt and &+gt instead of < and > in future.

At the risk of Doreenosis I'll just finish off by saying glad I could help and feel free to ask any other questions by email if you should so desire.

BoXXi, check your email.
And also, you can check the screenshot section where I have a shot of my Nijikon desktop from yor theme and my WB skin. You'll notice a taskbar/Start menu/systray. It's a DX object. Check your mail, I sent it to you if you want it.
