Before the WB beta, it'd look all funky and stuff with the skin interface. This is isn't a big issue. Adding the exe into the exception list pretty much solves that. Since I run FRAPS for screenshots and video capturing during gaming, I noticed that the FPS counter on the corner of the window. My guess for that is Firefox4 using the Direct2D stuff which triggered the FPS counter for FRAPS. However, with the latest update, this is now gone. Sure this makes the window all the more cleaner but it appears that performance also suffers as a result.
Is the performance hit due to having to force Firefox4 to draw using older methods or something? Or is that a completely different issue? Other than adding the exe back into the exception list, will there be a way to get the performance back as using its Panorama/Tab-Candy feels more snappier unskinned than skinned?
The Firefox 4 beta workaround was supposed to be listed as a temp fix only. For now we have disabled Direct2D in Firefox (but it is enabled in IE9 and Chrome 6/7). A final solution will be implemented before Firefox 4 is released officially.

XP users get the Precision skin
Isn't that an old skin?
Yeah that's been there a while.
That skin has not been included with WB until now. It also has support for the new IE9 and glass sections added to it.

I've had the Precision skin for quite some time.

Precision skin was pulled out of WB for a while, then where updated with Windows 7 bits and got new (more recent) WB sections to serve as example if any skinner have doubts on the new sections.
More skins with new features coming very soon.

Tried to open Impulse today, got this. Uninstalled and downloaded Impulse and reinstalled. Same thing.
After the install, it opened and downloaded the Impulse update and when it tried to restart, got this again.
Vista Home - 32bit.

Is there anything in your Impulse error log? By default, that would be located here: C:\ProgramData\Stardock\Impulse\Temporary\impulse-errorlog.txt. The most recent entries are at the bottom of the file. Take a look at errors that would have occurred on the day that you got the last error.

It appears that the Segoe UI font isn't properly or fully installed on your system. The following link has all of the Segoe fonts in it. Please install them and see if that resolves your problem.

First, let me thank you for the help. It worked. I was missing the normal and a couple others. Strange.
Second, no disrespect to anyone at Stardock, but why create an application, where it's mandatory to have a specific font installed to work properly?
If it's mandatory, then have them pre-install when it's first installed. If I was a new customer, I wouldn't be to happy. Just something to think about.
Thanks, again!

Reduced 87%
Original 685 x 183
Reduced 87%
Original 689 x 128
I am on windows 7 and am using ie 8
I can reproduce this and it seems to be with the older XP skins.
Hopefully the next beta update will resolve this.

Since this beta, in many of my WB skins the explorer backgrounds trancparency is gone.
In the preview window i can see it, but not in my folderbackgrounds.
