Object Desktop 2011 wishlist

What can we do for you?

Monday, September 13, 2010 by Frogboy | Discussion: WinCustomize News

The Windows "ecosystem" is complex these days. There's Windows XP users, Windows Vista users and Windows 7 users both in 32 and 64 bit versions which require their own versions believe it or not if you want to fully support it.

Our question to you, what would YOU like to see in the next major revision of Object Desktop?

If you don't have Object Desktop already, what are you waiting for?!

- transparency option and more features for Tiles (I love Tiles!!!)

- for Windowblinds to work properly in MS Word and Excel, so that I don't have to exclude them

- better color-changing features in CursorFX

I believe the intent was to resuscitate it.  This one shouldn't have suffered an arrest.

A 'themes' tab in ODP settings so users can save themes without the messy workaround in ODP 2.

Plus there's a huge stock of older Blinds that work only on XP. Another reason not to dump it.

Much like the software itself.

Karen, I don't think the problem is with WB. In my skins I don't include Microsoft Ofice. Many include it, skin it or color it. Most of the time I can't see the text I'm trying to type and I can't use those skins either unless I go and make changes in SKS.

Doc you are a pain sometimes but actually in a good way I'm always learning form many of your post.(some things I don't want to learn) So had no idea what necrpthreads meant and looked it up. So my learning lesson today is complete.

You remain a nemesis. You are on the list, have no doubts...

You have yet to experience my needle work, so you don't know what an actual pain I can be...
