Invisible Radio Button

Friday, October 29, 2004 by Tombiepoo | Discussion: Skinning

I have a UIS2 WB skin and added a radio button image. In Skin Studio it looks OK but when I test it or apply it to my system the radio buttons are all invisible!!! I can't figure out wtf is going on so would really appreciate some help.

Thanks in advance...

You probably have a transparent/translucent setting checked and it should not be. If the image is a .bmp then make sure traanslucency is not checked. If it is a .tga then select transparent and translucency. Otherwise I would need to see the skin. Email it if you want.

Yeah, I had that same problem at one time. Try NightTrain's advice first. I remember that I had developed some sort of corruption in the file itself, and I had to redraw and then reimport my image. I can't remember exactly what went wrong, right now. But, try NightTrain's advice. It should solve most translucency problems.

Thanks! It was the silly Translucency checkbox. Always wondered what that did since it never seemed to change anything in the previews. Apparently it makes your buttons and such disappear!
