Going back to that email thing... I got an email from the guy same as others here but my email address is NOT visible in my profile and has not been. Any guesses out there how they guy got my email address when it's not available on this site? To the best of my understanding of things, one of three things happened:

1 - My email address was provided in spite of my user settings here on WinCustomize.

2 - My email address was acquired by someone who has sufficient rights to see such things despite my user settings.

3 - The email was sent as a ruse to see if I would assist pirating of software I had purchased.

While I don't mean to point fingers, I can't see any other alternatives and would be very happy to see some other logical explanation as none of the above make me a happy guy.

Maybe I have been away too long but could someone tell me
why I should buy OD+ as opposed to Work Shelf. They do seem to be similiar at first glance. I currently use Object Dock and am happy with a first class product.

WorkShelf and ObjectDock both have tabs, but that's where the similarities end. I'll try to do a video demo soon.

when I click on your name I see an email address.  If you want that hidden, click on *edit account* at the top of the page and uncheck the box that allows your email address to be shown.

Help me! I just bought this thing after carefully reading all the replies, but it won't work! I had the original version of Object Dock and that worked like a charm. This one overwrote the old one so when it first fired up it ran but when I went to place another dock it crashed. It won't even let me place one dock so now I don't even have Object Dock basic! Please someone figure this out soon. I want what I bought! I have full faith that this is a great program but this little bug is, well, bugging me.

Well, bought this today and it looks like it has some really usefull new features, however it also looks as if there are some agrevating bugs which is not all that surprising for a beta release. I can make fly out menus and it is really cool looking but it doesn't seem to do anything. I can't any of the items in the fly out, for example I made a My Computer fly out and it shows all the contents, I think, on my drive, but I can't do anything with any of the items. Maybe I'm missing something here but I can't find a how to or help file either so I'm at a loss. That is surprising to me that a how to or help file is not included, since this is being charged for. Oh well, Im sure it will get lots of updates and for what looks to be a amazing dock/launcher program, and considering the potential, the cost is very reasonable.

Standard dock definetely interferes with most screensavers. Dunno whether it's just the clock that does it or the whole thing. Odd how the tab dock doesn't interfere though

Just one question. Does ObjectDock Plus not appear in the software folder of SD Central, and how do I get it there? I purchased it a couple of days ago and registered it the same day. It would be nice to get automatic updates to the software builds. It seems kind of odd to me to have to download the .exe from the main ObjectDock home page everytime just to be guessing to see if the new .exe is updated or not. It seems like a version or build number would be displayed. Any help is appreciated.

patri,

You make a good point we should an option or something that tells us what version of objectdock plus we are running and give us the option of checking for updates.... This is still a beta version so new patches for it might come out and maybe that will be one of the changes made....

Hey Frogboy,

I have been playing with objectdock + and there is something that I would like to see implemented but dont know it is going to possible.
Here goes.... I see that you have an option to create a start menu off of objectdock +, but my problem with that is that it doesnt show the whole start menu that you would see in a regular windows start menu. It only shows the programs folder and nothing else. What I would like to see is the full start menu for example "shutdown, logoff, run, help support, search, program folder and if possible shortcuts to applications like windows update etc..." that would awsome. If your not to busy please respond to this and let me know what you think...

Keep up the great work....

mnunes if u look in the objectdock library there already is a docklet that acts as a start menu. https://www.wincustomize.com/skins.asp?library=29&SkinID=2373

Hockey10,

That start menu docklet doesnt work for me because I'm using WindowBlinds. It only works if you use the original XP Style Start menu which doesnt make sense because then I would have to stop using WindowBlinds, but thanks for the FYI....

I just have a simple question. The tab position option is grayed out on top (for always on top I guess) is it meant to be grayed out at the moment? what I want to do is have it always on the bottom or at least come up only when the mouse is on the bottom of the screen Im using it for an HTPC and the tab stay on top at all times even over video! mildly annoying

As a long time supporter of everything Stardock I commend them for coming up with an Enhanced version of ObjectDock (My favourite desktop enhancement to date next to WB's). Thanks to Frogboy for this excellent new program. As a Programmer I can appreciate the effort that goes into a single Application and $15:00 is nothing really ($20:00AU as I'm an Aussie). I just purchased ObjectDock Plus (As did my mate) so we'll give it a go shortly.

Again thanks Frogboy and ignore those naysayers who dont want to pay for great software like this. I suggest they sit down with some code one day to see just how time consuming it really is

Congrats again Stardock on a great product and hopefully the bugs can be ironed out ASAP! Cheers
