How fast is your connection

This has been around a bit but it's still useful for those of you wondering how good your Internet connection is. ZDNet has a bandwidth tester that will give you an idea of how good your connection is.
My cable modem is through Comcast and tested at 1.665 megabits per second.

Nomad, you use DrTCP and/or TCP Optimizer? Cause thats what I use.

However here in The Netherland the companies that offer broadband are fighting a battle to get customers, so that is good for the speed.
My adsl-company is raising the down in januari to 2048 kbps
In 1 year i have gone up from 512 / 96 to 2048 / 320

hehe I'm the first from the other side of the fastest line list.. 120kb down, 20kb up.. it's 21 ls/month (that's about 45 $ a month or about 26 pounds a month).. isn't cheap..

2.024 mbit. That's still pretty good, but it used to be 5 mbit back in the day.

Time Warner Cable's lovely Road Runner service, used to be much faster at my other house but that was when I was living in a neighborhood amongst old folks, guess they weren't too big on the highspeed internet... Oh well, I believe it costs in the range of $45 per month up here in the Greater Portland Area (Maine)
