While we restore from backup here are some other places that have skins and themes of the kind you'll find here:
First some not as well known that are very high quality:

We're in the process of restoring from backup but as you can imagine, we're having to do it from remote (the servers are in California, we're in Michigan). Hope the RAID array rebuild & data restore is going as well as can be expected since the operators and the servers are in different states....
Thanks for all the tremendous work that 'yall do for us daily, and without much complaint....Like a reminder now and again to donate is really complaining....

so many people are going to the other sites that some of them are not responing (server overload)
Just goes to show you just how much WinCustomize goes through every day.

pixtudio is one of the sites that doesnt have the overload message, customize.org on the other hand does

what happens on Pixtudio is that the images load slower. That is what happened to me.
I find it very fasenating. Some site show the numbers of current on-line viewers and the numbers are in the 300 range for those site that have that indicator.
Essorant's was slow too. Actually all the sites either had server problems or was slow to load.
It is amazing how much WinCustomize handles in one day.

maybe all them other skinnin sites look at wincustomize like as a big bro..wincustomize is a great site and i would like to thank everyone at stardock for all of their hard work to bring us these wonderful skins done by many various talented artists..SO big thanks to all of you admins and skinners for keepin our desktops looking great everyday. I remember when windows gui was completely basic..everything was just average..them ancient days, nowadays with all these talented ppl and their contributions to the skinning community, such as essosarant.com,deviantart,pixtudio,skinplant,adnis site , just to name a few, cant forget about brother wincustomize. From me i would like to give thanks to you all for all the things that yal have done and wishin you all a very Happy Thanksgiving, hope all the RAID configs work out...Phrozen

The Skins Factory is having zero speed problems. We're set up to handle a terrabyte of download traffic a month and our dedicated server is on rackshack. Some of the library is connected to Wincustomize's library but we'll be updating that shortly. Most are available though.
