Looks like none of the links to ad-aware are working. Maybe it's because everybody wants to download, or is it that latest worm ??

I hope they are busy. I still can't get in. I thought they would at least show the main screen.

No problems getting in, but the software isn't available until sometime in February...

The freeware version is not available until Feb, but you can buy the Plus and Pro versions now. This I have done, after spending an hour last week getting rid of Xupiter Toolbar after a mistyped URL infected me. AdAware should help prevent a similar event.

I couldn't get connected yesterday but it works fine this morning. A little more whizzy than the old version but still simple to use. FWIW, it didn't find anything that Spybot didn't already get. In a day or two, I'll run Ad-Aware, then Spybot. The latter always found stuff that Ad-Aware missed. It will be interesting to see if version 6 fixes that.

Just another thought to add - the help files are really well laid out. Just a not so subtle hint for the ODNT stuff.

After reading the above (about spybot) I just had to check it out. After reading the sweetest licence agreement I've seen so far my eyes nearly popped out when I saw what tons of s**t still were on my drive after running ad-aware (5.8), thanx for the tip chef

I ran ad-aware 6, then spy-bot right after. Nothing left on this test but I'll try again over the next few days. If this thread is still active I'll report back.
