Next week users of Object Desktop (www.objectdesktop.com) will be getting the first ALPHA of WindowBlinds 4.The full preview guide of WindowBlinds 4 is here:

Major new features of WindowBlinds 4 are:
* Much faster than WindowBlinds 3 or Windows XP's own built in visual styles
* Higher level of compatibility with wacky applications that do non-standard things.
* Skins more elements of Windows including the Explorer task panel (shellstyles) WITHOUT requiring any hacking of shellstyle DLL.
* Can skin new elements like log off screens and other parts that one might not imagine.
* Plus it skins a host of other things users have long asked for.
WindowBlinds 4 will be the most significant engine upgrade to WindowBlinds since the original 1.0. Faster, smaller, more features.

I am definitely looking forward to WB4. Don't put it out unless it's REALLY ready though. I just saw an example of the skinned explorer side panel. Damn it looks sexy. Whelp, yeah... *waits patiently*

It's an ALPHA version, which means it probably won't be ready for quite some time.

No, please, put it out as soon as its ready! You dont have to d/l the alphas/betas, but some of us crave it.

I donot know but I still only have desktop1.92 in my alpha section of component manager of desktop X even though people have been saying its been around for awhile and still no sign of windowblinds 4 yet

The post was made on sunday... so tonight or tomorrow night would be as late as it can be for 'a week'. Unless like Dangeruss mentioned, they meant NEXT week. Now that would be torture
