A brand new update of ObjectDock is available.ObjectDock is a freeware program that provides a taskbar and program launcher but does it with style.
New in version 0.65:
x-Auto-hide
x-Skinnable background, selectable via dropdown.
x-"Foreground" overlays
x-Background transparency adjustable (currently only 1 slider for all)
x-Background skin can have different images for different edges of the screen
x-Fixed no magnification title bug
x-Improved bouncing, sped up poof animation slightly
x-Fixed 8bit icons loading crashing the dock
x-Fixed not being able to drag item off to the dock delete if not on bottom
x-Drag/drop improved: multiple files can now be dropped once, system shortcuts can be dropped (e.g. "My Computer", "Internet Explorer", etc)

Now, THIS IS GOOD...
Easy access to setting transparency, along with 'auto-hide'....still works fine in LiteSTEP.
ObjectDock is developing into a seriously-good proggy in its own right. Freebie or not, it's a good'un...

Objectdock keeps getting neater and neater! Now if they only add the start menu and taskbar everyone wants so it is functional and more than just eye-candy.

Sorry I don't meant to sound harsh above. I know this is freeware and they are working on it. But it is such a good program I would like to see it be really useful.

KingSky....we LiteSTEP users have our 'start' button handled elsewhere, so this proggy is great as it is....runs without explorer.exe being loaded, so it's fine by me..

I love it, and the new hide feature rocks, but does anyone else's dock crash when you try to close it? I have a shortcut on the dock that quits it for me-a system command.

Love it! But Recycle Bin does not work... is it just me?
Have to agree with the lack of start button....anyone got a shortcut command for it?
Hint: to minimise all windows, create a link to "X:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\Application Data\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Quick Launch\Show Desktop.scf" ... or appropriate path...

I think the dock is AWESOME!!!, If you want to have your start button I just click the arrow off in the "Hide Windows Taskbar". 
The only thing I noticed that is not working correctly in the newest beta release .65 is that you can't log out of a user account till you close the dock.

Much beter with the auto-hide feature. Two things though; my backgrounds with neatly rounded edges get their edges somewhat deformed. And second, what was said earlier; I can't log out of Windows when the dock is in auto-hide.
