methinks this is about a week late. They released 3 when they moved 2.x to the classic sinamp site. There was a news post about it --> https://www.wincustomize.com/index.asp?Cmd=full&NewsID=1101

hmm...that was not the final release.
i clicked the link and went to their site. it said: download winamp 2.84 or something...

maybe they didnt update the site!

is the final final.Me confused. they showed this before.
Winamp 3 is great all features of the prvious version is there with extras check it out.not like sonique(big main)The skins are unbelieveable,althuogh i don't hav xp it still work great.

there are gonna be improvements made, and a payware version (with dvd capabilityies and such), but 3 is the official winamp now.

There was a lot of confusion eariler as to what really was the final release versus what was a release candidate. It seemed the winamp web page was out of date and didn't really reflect the status of the software. It seems to be squared away now.

The money is to cover the cost of the dvd codecs, etc..

It's my understanding that there's a free version of Winamp and a payware enhanced version. I don't have a problem with this at all.

just by 'mistake' i stepped on to the tecttv site and saw winamp 3. then went to winamp.com at last i thought of posting on wincusto

Winamp 3 is my only media player now. I really like the addition of the skins being "free-form" and that I can run my videos on it too!!! I wonder if the guys over at nullsoft could make me a dishwasher plugin?
