LogonStudio 1.7 Released

We are excited to announce the release of LogonStudio 1.7 today. For years, LogonStudio from Stardock has been the most popular way to easily change the Windows logon screen to one of the thousands available for download, or by easily creating your own using your favorite wallpapers or images.
LogonStudio 1.7 can apply logons to Windows XP, Vista, and Windows 7. Creating your own logon is as simple as dragging an image to the configuration window and saving it. You can also download any of the thousands available on WinCustomize.com.

On XP you can have both installed, just set one to default Windows logon (which turns it off) then you can use/run the other.
I have tested this on XP Home SP3.
So those on XP can make logons for XP, Vista and 7.

tried out that older version, and I didn't get it at all. However, with 1.7, I was able to change the image to whatever I wanted in seconds. (The text I had to do a hack of the x.exe file, but no biggie.) There are two issues, though.
- there is still a portion of the original welcome screen, as shown here:
- and when shutting down, there is that, plus the "Windows is shutting down" text is inside a small blue box, overlaying the 'wallpaper'. (I would also like to change the text, but don't know what file that is in.)

also try using Ccleaner to sort out the registry
