What did you have / going to have for dinner?

Ok, we all know what's on the menu for tomorrow, but what about today? Something festive, something normal, or something light?
For me it was:
Yellowfin Sole in parsley and lemon
New potatoes
Baby carrots
Petit pois
A light vegetable gravy
All very tasty and quite light.
I did have a homemade mince pie though...

Filet Mignon and Lobster Tails, Twice Baked potatoes, Asparagus in Lemon Butter. For desert, an English Trifel.
Christmas Day's dinner will probably be Chinese.

I am the cook in the family and we have all the family coming over for Xmas lunch in a couple of hours. Roast turkey, roast potatoes (very crispy), mash potatoes, stuffing, peas, carrots, corn and lashings of gravy. Accompanied by several excellent bottles of white wine. And finally the desert........home-made ginger cream log...........with coffee, port and cheese on the side for those that have room

Hey Leo, while you're at it, why don't you go the whole hog and have a banquet, instead???
No point in doing things by half measures, is there? ![]()
BTW, Merry Christmas and a happy New Year to you and yours.

I've been washing everything down with shandy. ![]()
Yeah, yeah, I know! It's poofta beer... but I don't feel like putting up Liberace posters or listening to George Michael, so I'm gonna keep drinking it.
Tonight is cold meat (ham, chicken) and garden salad... dessert is homemade lemon cheesecake and icecream. Shaunna makes the bestest cheesecake, so I dunno I'll stop at just one serving. ![]()
