You can get a standalone WindowBlinds 7 installer by logging in with your account at

http://anywhere.impulsedriven.com/

I'm not sure whether the installer installs Impulse or not but it let's you install without having Impulse

on your computer in the first place.

You have to download both the setup file with the extension ".exe" and the data file with the extenstion ".impulse"

and put them in the same folder before running the setup file. The names of the files as you see on

impulsedriven.com are:

= WindowBlinds 7 Installer (~8.6 MB)

= WindowBlinds 7 Data File (31.64 MB)

You also need to have .NET Framework 2.0 on your computer to run the setup. It can be downloaded here:

http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=0856EACB-4362-4B0D-8EDD-AAB15C5E04F5&displaylang=en

If you did all of the above and still got an error, you can post the error here so that I can see what's up.

I don't believe tis thread hasn't imploded from endless whining.

You want WB7, install Impulse. You have to have Net2.0 also. Endo of story.

Install it or don't. Jeeeeez!  Enough!

Is there another software publisher/distributor besides Impulse that sells Windows Blinds standalone?  Im still stuck on Windows Blinds 6.4 (last standalone version).  I'm pretty happy with that version; except Windows Explorer 8 and Office 2010 titlebars are completely messed up; even when I disable skinning for them.

If we are still forced to installing Impulse; just so we can install Windows Blinds, maybe someone has instructions on how to completely remove all traces of Impulse (in registry and filesystem) after installing Windows Blinds.  I did a search in my registry after uninstalling Impulse on a test machine, and still saw rubbish left behind.  Or, maybe someone knows of a way to install WB+Impulse on a machine I dont care about and only move over WB and respective license I bought over to my primary PC.
