er months of buggering around in C4D I think I might just be ready to try pull off a true Chrome windowblind.. You know. not just metallic looking gradients and highlights, but real, rendered, reflective materials and about as far away from Vista as I can possibly imagine going, at least regarding material composition.

The way you are layering/ stepping the graphics looks wise. It will take the metal look up a notch.

There he goes...teasing us again. Just a tiny glimpse of the future...it's shiny, it's reflective, it's gorgeous...aaaaand, that's right...it's worth waiting for.

Just don't make it too reflective.... got enough mirrors around here, and I don't wanna be looking into my monitor seeing me looking back out at me.

Yeah, Doc made it for me... did a bloody fine job on it, too. 
BTW, John, I happen to like metallic skins a lot, they go great with dark desktop themes, so yeah, I'll be looking out for this one with great interest.

John, you just keep getting better, so I can only imagine the mirrored look this one is bound to have! A windowblind I can see myself in....gives a whole new meaning to the word 'blind'.

Well that's one order I WON'T be making.... too many damned mirrors around here already.
The only time I feel a mirror comes in handy is when I wanna check to see I still have my...... er, feet.
