K r o m e - WIP

cos you can never do too much marketing :P

Friday, June 5, 2009 by vStyler | Discussion: WinCustomize Talk

er months of buggering around in C4D I think I might just be ready to try pull off a true Chrome windowblind.. You know. not just metallic looking gradients and highlights, but real, rendered, reflective materials and about as far away from Vista as I can possibly imagine going, at least regarding material composition.

Finished.

John, just overlay an image of your pretty face on all the images so all the uglies don't have to see themselves.

What sumpin' else?  Last time I was game to look in the mirror I noticed a second navel...

..... the second being where I remember an appendage used to be.

It isn't the marriage part I'm worried about, it's the localised shrinkage while everything else above it is expanding.

Guess it's true what they say, if you don't use it you lose it.

Guess it's true what they say, if you don't use it you lose it.

Before one can use it (so as NOT to lose it) one has to be able to FIND 'it' first.

EDIT:  On second thoughts, I will take that 'highly' reflective start panel after all.

Worked on this really, really hard... amazing how complicated C4D is just for a rectangular panel, the lighting alone (HDRI) took me... well I can't tell you, you'll think I'm a madman   I rendered it over 1500 times over several days until i was happy.... finally... I am.

Next, taskbar and frames.

I don't need any confirmation to think you're a madman... I KNOW it.  But you're one madman who truly does justice to the word 'insanity', especially when it comes to skinning.  Since your msstyles days, you've come on in leaps and bounds and this WIP teaser has me quite intrigued.

Yup, it's looking excellent so far, and I cant wait to see the finished product.

It's truly amazing, John.  You may be mad, but you're a mad genius when it comes to skinning!  A true virtuoso!

WOW this looks great    I love metal skins. I have always wanted a gold metal skin, but this is awesome.  I think this skin would look amazing with another color too. Something like this:

Maybe you could make a Krome version and a light gold version of this skin
