I was wondering if somebody could make a United States Marine Dream. I am an X Marine, and I have not seen any Military branches Dreams. Thanks, Semper Fi Hetch

The three guys I'd run this past are Dream Masters AzDude, CarGuy1 or AusVet with that request.
Drop them a PM and see if they'll make you one for personal use.

My take would be that official seals for the armed forces would be proprietary and copyrighted. You would probably need to gain permission just like Stardock has to do for their sports team My Colors themes

While you folks are waiting you might take a look at these Dreams, https://www.wincustomize.com/skins.aspx?libid=50&search=flag
I'm a retired USAF E-7 by the way.

Hey Ed! My thinking is, if it's for personal use, then it should be ok. It's when you publish and submit for downloading is when permissions are needed! I think.
I'm former USAF, but rather forget about being stationed at SAC Minot AFB North Dakota for 3 winters, where I experienced -110 degrees below zero. It was my reason for getting the hell out after four. So forgive me if I'm not in a mood to salute, but those bastards tried to kill me.
Anyway guys WMP's Plug-in site has skins from all five major branches.

How about something like a "Salute" to U.S. Services Dream
to include all i.e. USAF,NAVY,MARINES,ARMY(that's for me)
our fighting men - something like that??? - and adding a
musical salute with it - just thinking out loud here ,, what you think willis?
keeping it in tone that it could be submitted for all , maybe ?
comments or ideas post here ........... AzDude ...
if they don't post in main gallery , they would probably put it
in my gallery which you could get it from there ...
1 overall dream could make maybe , several individual ones would be hard ....
let me know what ya think ....

Az...sounds great.
Angus1949, since it will not be for sale, and since it is being used as a work of art, and since it does not belong to any one person but indeed to all of the people, I cannot envision a situation where a JAG lawyer nor a DoD lawyer would find anything actionable.

Yeah Doc, the same could be said for any Movie type Wallpaper, for example.. but they still get rejected for Copyright reasons.. ![]()

I don't think so, TG. A movie poster cannot be equated with an emblem of an armed service. One represents a business enterprise, and is proprietary because it is a product which the movie company purchased to be used to promote the movie, ie it's product. That is a property which is owned or protected by copyright.
An emblem of an armed service belongs to no one person but to all the people of that country. It is proprietary in the sense that another service or country or business cannot adopt it or use it without express permission of the government, but it does not have specific ownership or copyright privilege over it.
Creating a Dream which is not for sale but which is for personal use is no different from me or Betsy Ross sewing an American flag, or drawing a picture of a soldier in uniform, or putting the Globe and Anchor as a desktop wallpaper.
As long as it is not being used to besmirch the service, nor being sold for private profit, there is nothing illegal being done.

Aye-Aye....no fancy stuff...but I'd add "Old Ironsides" to it, Billy Mitchell's B29's, an F16/F22, The Flag Raising at Iwo Jima, TR"s Rough Riders, Buffalo Soldiers, Easy Co. 501 PIR, Some Bradley's, a CG Cutter/helicopter dropping a swimmer, a SEAL Trident pin, Arlington and Normandy as well as Gettysburg...on a foggy morning, Bastogne and maybe Corregidor.
maybe with a fade in/fade out before each symbol...?
