I noticed this book on 2of3's bedstand in the pic he posted of his ship-board "office". Funny he didn't mention it, huh?

I used to read the hell out of King and Koontz . . but they all started blendign together and stopped. If I were to start again, what's teh best of his newer releases?
In Sci-Fi, I'm looking for "The Practice Effect" by David Brin. I read it as a kid and thought of it the other day and really want to read it again.
My next comic reading will be somethign from the Fable's series. Good stories.

Read that a couple times myself as well as the Malloreon, Elenium and "The Dreamers"
Actually reading a dogearred copy of "The Stars Like Dust" by Asimov ....thinking about working my way thru all the Galactic Empire stuff again.....I spent a year reading the Robert Jordan's "Wheel of Time" series only to have the guy die before finishing. Pisses me off.......
Zubaz....read the Covenant books......it's not the same but still good.....Donaldson did another series....can't remember the name now...it started slow but turned out to be a good set.....one's called "A Man Rides Thru" (all I can remember)

Those were a fantastic series...I read the Belgariad series on my very first six month deployment and then had the entire Malloreon and Elenium mailed to me. A few years ago I picked up some of the later books that tagged onto the Belgariad. One was about Belgarath and the other about Poly I think. Golly those were great reads.

I've never gotten into all of his books I've read a few though. I was definitely glad I had read Dreamcatcher before they released what passes for a major motion picture these days
. And I have been meaning to go back and reread Desperation and The Regulators again, I remember really liking those alot the first time around.
