Where did the Dragon go?

Molten Window Blind

Monday, August 4, 2008 by Azdec | Discussion: WindowBlinds

There was an update to the Stardock WindowBlind Molten.  I DL'd it.  I let Windowblinds handle it rather than
just saving the .wba file to my Desktop.

Well, the dragon at the top of the Start Menu has disappeared.  I DL'd the Molten.wba file again and applied it
Same thing, no Dragon.

I used WB to delete the Molten "Visual Style", restarted my PC and applied the .wba file. No joy.

Where is the Dragon?  Can anyone help me on this?

but depending on the time of year it is where you are, the dragon may be hibernating for the winter.

Why don't they put something that doesn't hibernate?

Note to self: Never use a frog-based WB.

You two must be children. I asked a question to get tech support for a Window Blinds problem. Thanks for nothing.

no, actually i'm 50. your problem is your installation of the skin. delete it and reinstall it. the dragon is still there. either that or your installation of wb itself isn't up to date.

ALSO, I tried to get rid of the user icon with Skin Studio 5 and puff the dragon was gone. Kinda rude dont you think? I never use the user Icon and should be able to keep the dragon. BTW, I love the skin, but want the Dragon without the user Icon. Is there anyone who can help?

Dragons do not hibernate, PERIOD!

This is a user based forum, Stardock support does poker their heads in now and then but the forum is not official Stardock support.

No update, it was posted in the WB gallery as it is no longer included with WB, the Dragon skin is, or so I have read.
I just downloaded it and the dragon is there on my start menu.
There was a bad update for WB awhile back, if you had installed it this may be the issue, you may need to uninstall and reinstall WB. Before doing so post your System info from WB here.

Hey S J N, it is not hiding the user pic that is breaking the dragon animation, it is opening and editing the skin with SKS 5, the start animation is a SKS 6 only feature, hiding the user pic using SKS 6 works fine, still have dragon.

They guy has asked for help and has made it clear he doesn't have patience for childplay. Why pile it on? It only makes WC look like a group of dickheads.

So.... people having fun are 'dickheads'.....

What about those being 'assholes' (bad mouthing/talking down to others (won't name any names in public))?
What label would you put on them?

(Those are the ones giving us the bad rep)

How about this thread ends unless there is a direct answer to the OP's question?

Try deleting all instances of Molten from: C:\Users\Public\Documents\Stardock\WindowBlinds\

Then reinstalling again.

In my case 6.2 deleted Molten and installed Dragon in it's place. For a few minutes I thought the skins were the same and thought the dragon was MIA. I then relized what had happened and reinstalled the Molten WB. Could this be what the OP and SJN is experiencing?
