Weekly Poll: Changing Skins

Tuesday, May 20, 2008 by Zoomba | Discussion: WinCustomize News

Time for another weekly poll.  This week it's a pretty simple question: How often do you change skins?  Is it frequently, or only a few times a year?  Can you even remember the last time you changed skins on your PC?

Vote in the poll, leave your comments here.  Results next week.

Is it a good idea to uninstall W/Bs 6.00, before installing the latest 6.1 version ???? thank you.

It shouldn't be necessary.
Are you updating through SDC or Impulse?

Just hold on a bit so support can take a look at what you have going on.

Will it let you re-apply the normal windowsUI without a reboot,or does it hang then also? What skins have you tried? If you want, post a little more of your system specs, and steps you're taking.I'm sure that will help. The mods may move this thread over to a better spot, where more may see it. Hang in there.
I'd suggest you install it again and post your system info (in a new post) so we can see what is wrong and get it fixed.

You may even want to start a new post, like Zubaz suggested.{edit} didn't see Zubaz's reply til after I replied, sorry.

Sounds like you are hitting some sort of caching issue. If you didn't restart right after the update then you can get this error with your settings. Normally I have a file you can target to delete and let the software restart but not as much with WB.

So I hate to say this but try uninstalling, restart, redownload/reinstall, then restart again before running the software. Let me know if that does the trick for you. Normally I like to sound more intelligent in my answers but I think simple is going to work best here.

Seabass i have tried all what you have suggested, all to no avail. I have gone back to ver 6.0. as i have uninstalled and installed to many times i Will close this matter, and wait for another update to W/Bs, then try again. Thanks for the help and suggestions from everyone.
