Hyperdesk - The First Review

Thursday, May 8, 2008 by Mrrste | Discussion: Community

I thought you guy's might be interested in this. I was recently given the privelage of being the first person to try out this new application from The Skins Factory. I urge you to go and check out my review here http://news.deviantart.com/article/48135/.

Hope you enjoy

Good reveiw, but I like my "bells and whistles", have Vista, and am very pleased with Stardock support. (what does TSF have for support?), so No thanks, TSF. If I want old/low tech themes, I'll load a WB4.

Avery nice well written review Stee.

But I'll stick with Windowblinds as that is what I started with and am perfectly happy with all the options it gives me. On top of that I'm not interested in needing to fix something every time MS gives us an update.

TGT Soft, Part II or how to skin your system with a hacking mechanism. Only this time it's worse. You will only be able to apply items made by TSF. Artwork may be nice but I'll not pump the airhose that inflates his head.

Nice unbiased review, Steve

Yes, quite well done.  Stee03 was likely muzzled about specifics as it's pre-release but perhaps managed to whet people's anticipation.

I, too appreciate well-made/good looking skins [and the skinnables they are applied with], but have never once bothered with the uxtheme patching as its limitations were painfully obvious from the outset, particularly for those skinners who were into the game long before XP and uxtheme ......

Good review. My only qualms is the restriction on showing screenshots.

Jeff has been very vocal about trashing the quality of the MyColors themes. I am sure we are all very anxious to see their msstyles put up head to head with existing WindowBlinds skins or MyColors themes.

Thank you . I was limited to what I could show and I had to honour that, as frustrating to people it may be.
