It looks very nice and mostly works well.

I am having an issue with there not being an option where Impulse recognizes that I have CursorXP Plus (but not FX Plus) registered. It only shows the free version of XP. I tried putting my serial for XP Plus in where XP is listed in the Registrations tab, but it only keeps that showing for the current session and I don't think it's actually associating with the Plus version anyway.

Also, I was wondering whether Impulse is supposed to recognize premium suites or only MyColors themes? It seems as though we'll have to keep track of suites in ThemeManager, but we can use Impulse for themes?

I have taken notes of your suggestions and we will work to include them into the next release of Impulse.

The only issue I have run into so far is SKS 6 will show an update, On trying to update, it will read "error retrieving data" and will stop. All other updates went smooth. I chose to ignore it.Here too. Entered all my registrations on the registrations page and they were all accepted. On restarting Impulse they were no longer registered.

What Operating System are you running?  Vista or XP?

couple issues for me.1. I use Trend Micro Internet Security 2008. I get an alert that Impulse is trying to change my IE settings. Why... I don't want anything changing my IE settings! I will try to find some more details on this.

My guess here is that this is from when we are editing the User-Agent string. This let's our servers know when viewing the websites that it's coming from Impulse and not some other client.

Also I was just surfing Wincustomize through the Impulse browser and when i click the Site link to get to my personal page it takes me to the settings page instead and if I click on anyones name at all to get to their personal page then it takes me to WWW Link

Sounds like you may have cookie corruption where you may not be logged in properly.  Please try logging off and relogon (to WinCustomize) and see if that helps.

Huh strange. Signing out and back in worked fine.

I've installed with no problems, but IMHO the Welcome Log-on window should have a NEXT or CONTINUE button. The interface is beautiful but the update tab and desktop tab both show 11 updates available while SDC is completely up to date. I just updated SkinStudioPro this morning through SDC. Also just after launching Impulse it did an update of it's own to a never version.

It should have the same app udpates as SDC has.

I have the same question as MetalHellsAngel and if we don't run them, what will make the needs update icons go away?

Oh also forgot to mention. I do have one complaint. I don't like that you can't resize the window to any size you want. The height of it takes up about 2/3 of my screen. I do alot of browsing while watching a movie or tv show on the pc and like to split the screen in half between the 2 applications.

Angus,

You can click on individual updates and on the righthand side of the screen you should see several options, including "Ignore this update." If you choose that, it will go away.

T-Man and I spent a wee bit of time debugging an issue I'd found....he did all the work...I lost all the sleep...it's 2.41am Thursday now...so time for bed.

It's amazing how much work goes into something like this [Impulse]...

Found the reason Impulse is showing updates available that SDC wasn't. I didn't have show betas enabled in SDC. Is there going to be the option to not accept betas? Also the problem with no OK or NEXT button on registration must only be in XP.

Thanks Stardock for all of the hard and continuing work.

From what I can see if the IRC function was turned on I would stop using SDC today.

Little things as mentioned above will get taken care of and I don't think a lot of folks will miss SDC.

Don't get me wrong, I used SDC and it's web browser and IRC link, it worked, I liked it. Impulse shows that it just may be the next step forward.

Great job folks.

I really like the program overall. Just I agree with a couple others that it seems odd that a company that has skinning as a main component does not allow the impulse program to be skinned. Also I do not see the Iconpackager update mentioned showing in impulse or SDC. I have other updates that go backwards in impulse though hehe.

Angus, click on the Blue Orb with the Stardock Logo and you can uncheck "Show Pre-Release"

Oh ya forgot to add, how come there is no link to view what changes were made for the program with the updates? I like to check because sometimes it isn't critical to update for me just yet or I'm just curious what changed.

angus1949, we do have Next and logon buttons but probably due to your DPI settings or resolution they are gettings drawn off screen.  Could you please let me know what DPI and resolution you are running at.

Thanks Lantec, That was nicely hidden.  I've been playing with this for an hour or so and all the updates installed just right except for WB. It says I have beta 6.09f.[b].130 installed yet says an update is available for 6.09d[b].124.
