I get some cute errors while attempting to install...using ExplorerPlus ....the error is due to the 'quick view' pane in ExplorerPlus ....closing it allowed the install to proceed...instead of the error shutting down the NxExplo.exe process [Explorerplus]

"Error retreiving data" on the SK6 update and WB is showing version 6.09d[ b].124 as being available and 6.09f[ b].300 as installed.

Nice to have a few updates though which weren't available on SDC.

What is very poor, is for a skinning program to have the skin hard coded. I have my desktop customized to a blue/grey skin, to have a program green/black with that is just fugly.

Archive option doesn't work / appear at all.
WinFX, Tweakshell still has a ugly icon.
Applications does not show available date.
Checking pre-release alpha/beta shows applications like Controlcenter.
The new IP still only works and installs on x86 only. x64 gives you the old one.

WB4 appears to be installed even though only MyColors is installed.

It's a safe bet that Impulse NEEDS the Explorer shell to install/run correctly.

Litestep must be the weak link...as although it installs it doesn't run...

Yup, fugly    A blue/grey skin which took many hours to make, spoiled by a black/green app...

Image also shows the SK6 error

I'll have to agree with that....... I think it's sad.

Everything seems sluggish, but maybe that's because we're all checking it out.

I read in promo posts for it that they were planning to have it follow the wb skin. maybe I misread?
could it be that it is only hardcoded now because it's a beta release?

That would be nice, not fond of the fugly green either.  Or if anything, a color slider like WB has.

That's a good question, but then it is replaceing SDC so, well you know, you might want to take it for a ride and see how it drives.

It looks like you can use SDC while Impulse is in beta and have both on you computer.

For a first run beta program [and early I might add]! This is best damn program I've ever seen produced by Stardock. When it is all finished and going good. It should make for the best new installer for Stardock programs ever made to date.
I'm very impressed and this has been a very good startup for the Impulse program.
Thanks again Brad and all those hard working people there at the development team. For such good work and as usual putting up with us members who want too much; I bet that can or could be said...
But you all have done extremely well!
Oh and Thank you Neil for the release of SKS6 and the way it is now working. I really like it a lot more. I would say it is finalized. It is the best Skin Studio to date.

Sweet! I love it.

Had one problem. I was able to retrieve all the updates for my installed software with the exception of SkinStudio6 Professional. It keeps telling me 'Error retrieving data'.

I closed and opened Impulse several times and keep getting that message. Everything else updated without any problems.

I updated SKS6 pro on 2 of my machines Vista Ultimate and XP Pro SP2 with no problem.

I'm suprised no one commented on the new Icon Packager version 3.90. I noticed it when Impulse updated it.

Okay just went back into Impulse and updated everything, well that I can for my XP computer. Didn't have any problems. I even found the WC forums. Know it's off to find the Galleray Libraries. Hmmm that may take awhile.

EDIT: DOH! I looked up and there was the browser bar that I was familiar with. Must slow down and take time to read.
