No ego...

Just something I've been thinking about...Do you live with or without ego? Now granted,there's a tad of ego is in everyone...But my question is, do you let it motivate you, do you let it speak for you? I've noticed so much lately, that operating without ego allows you to meet people where they are, allows you to empower them, allows you to motivate, and better than that, allows you to "just be". I challenge you to think about it...What do you have to lose?

I used to have an Ego.. But my wife took it away.... apparently I was not qualified to handle it correctly..

I gave up on my ego years ago. I believe that once you give up the ego and drop the pretenses you are living under, life is much simpler. And all it took was me losing almost everything and everyone......

my bi polar alter ego (mr hyde) is safely tucked away in the back of my mind this year.......i am determined to be a nice person, not fly off the handle, not stir the pot OR rock the boat....my goal is just to try to help people with skinning problems....and encourage everyone here at the community .

my alter ego used to control every thing i did......this yeah.....nuh uh! no way, a more posative outlook for meh (hope that answers your question)

True reflection upon ones self is always for the better. Ego is only natural and when we are in control of it, can be a very motivating force. It is when we loose control of it and let it control us, that it's destructive nature is revealed.

We all have a bit of Ego, the question is do we control it or does it control us? The answer to that question, is the defining factor

I see it here on the forums every day, folks all pitching in to help each other out.. Its a great feeling of acomplishment when it all works out.

kitty, I know all about being bipolar. I was diagnosed when I was 17. And the "other" Josh, the one with the REAL ego trip...well, I still have to deal with that asshole sometimes. But like you, kitty....

My ex-wife got my ego in our divorce! Seriously, this is a really great post Skinhit. I've always tried to relate "Healthy" ego to confidence in combination with selflessness. "Unhealthy" ego to over-confident along with arrogant. I don't know if that's anywhere near rational (that went with the ex too!) it's was just my way of relating to the difference.

AS Radial my ex-wife got it in our divorce... thought not that i'd a big one before....

Isn't an Ego a sub-compact made in Korea?....

Egos are fine....but they just need to be kept on a short leash.
