Question of the day: Why are you here?

For the the party favors!

Friday, December 28, 2007 by Philly0381 | Discussion: WinCustomize Talk

I've read several posts lately about changes and updates that are either coming or proposed. As can be expected members of the community are voicing their concerns. It's always good to read peoples opinions or concerns, mainly because I may have missed something.

As I read through them though sometimes I find myself posing the question, to myself, then why are you here. I can imagine the response if I actually posted that as a reply..................oops.

Okay, joking aside, what did bring you here? Work, play, wanting to learn, or just to get that gosh awful Windows GUI off your desktop?

I m Passionate to learn intersting things about computers and Customize my PC. The fascination of the skinning made my interest here more then anywhere else and this generous community has now connected with me inextricably. WC rocks.

Just for fun

I could of left my computer in standard mode and carried on using it for everything I want to do without altering the look of it, (and my laptop is still standard vista).

However here are a load of programs that allow me to just press one or a few buttons to make it look totally different and a load of people making things that I can use in those programs that make it seem total different from the standard mode, and while I might still basically be doing the same as before I added the programs it just seems a lot better.

The forums are fun as well which is a big bonus reason to keep coming back to the site.

There is no better place to be (on the net)....there are many, many great characters, oodles of great skins and lots of interesting tidbits of information... but even more importantly, WC is a community that one feels comfortable, at home and welcome in.

I'd like to be able to list all the people who have influenced and made my time here even more enjoyable, but simply put, there just isn't enough bandwidth... so here's a "I love you all" to everyone, you're all great and lovely people.

probably the most enjoyable site I know - great people, good humor. If there's anything close to Callahan's bar, this is it.

Hey....!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I don't remember what brought me here, but once here I found it to be a great place to hang out and I have met some really nice people who I call friends. And I agree , this is the best community on the net.

Us CHICKS love to play dress up and this is the best place in town to dress up your computer...(safely) I might add...

No kidding, glad I found it..

Speaking for myself, I have no objection to anybody asking me anything as long as it's done honestly.

I will answer as honestly as I feel appropriate for the question.

As a User, I come for the resources, as a Subscriber I have the added dimension of the personal pages etc..

As a Wincustomize member there's just so many angles to play off here. Information, characters, skinning environment, fun, games, education etc....

Personally, I don't assume that because someone is struggling with one aspect of the whole, that they place no value on the site or it's members/supporters.

I originally came here for Windowblinds because my computer dare not look like everyone elses. It must be customized to the hilt or I am not happy. I can find everything I need here and lots of friendly folks who have a good time and are more than willing to help out.

I receive great pleasure in being able to offer my small contribution in the form of walls for those who like them. It gives me great delight and consumes enough of my time to keep me out of trouble. You folks are awesome and I love the spirit around here!
