Hardy Hardy Har... Me Has A New 19' WS Monitor

Yeah, was out earlier and noticed my fav puter store was open....huh, on Boxing Day??? Well I went in to wish Pat, the owner, a great day and a happy New Year if I didn't get to see him beforehand, etc, etc.
Well, as always, the conversation gravitated towards computers and etc... and the next thing I know I'm walking out with a new ViewSonic 19' LCD monitor for AU$250. I think Pat was just as surprised as I was... he was showing/telling me about this new Gigabyte mobo that'd go perfectly with an Intel Core Duo I've had my eye on for a while now... and the next thing he knows is that I'm handing over the cash for the monitor... no warning or indication I was even interested....
OK, so it was an impulse buy, but I'm as happy as a hog in muck with my purchase and just had to come crow about it here cos I felt like so much crap yesterday.
Oh, and before anyone says: "Why didn't you get a bigger one?"...my eyes are real close together and I wouldn't be able to see both sides of the screen...'specially when I gits meself all cross eyed on the Playboy site.
Nah, truth is, a larger one wouldn't fit in the pigeon hole on my desk, not with my speakers as well, so the 19" is perfect and just what I wanted... and my regular 19" Samsung is now hooked up to another rig I just finished assembling from mostly old parts, just got to load XP Home and Ubuntu on it and I have me a spare to play with.
Well that just about covers it for now, so see ya's 'round like a cartwheel.

Nice desk...but wow I thought I had a cable mess (which is why I like my massive desk, hides all those cables).

My decision to go no larger than 19" has been vindicated... last night I was looking at a centerfold who was spread out on a sheepskin rug, and if had I gone with the 22" I'd have had difficulty telling if her toenail polish matched her eyes.

Tell ya wot, HG, I'd be working on getting a split screen up and running for that baby... so I could be watching the 6 o'clock news while creating the next masterpiece.

Hardy Har Har Capn Starkers! Me got a 320gb USB drive for a hunnert pieces of 8! Now I will be able to keep track o'er the rum supplies even when the computer dies!

I say might because i did only because i got one large monitor now, but if you use 2 or more monitors of one size you cannot just go back to one monitor of that same size, it would drive you nuts, but going to one monitor of a larger size made it easier. Trust me, I still have trouble with this single monitor setup. I was going to keep 2 of the 19's and use them on each side but it looked real lame. Here is an iamge to show the size comparisons

Yeah, I think the speakers rock personally, but for gaming to can't beat a great headset. And yes photobucket is getting lame like that, i'm coming across a lot of people PB pics sending you to the main page and not to the image itself. (some do and some don't)

I have enough trouble keeping an eye on one screen - with this setup I would never know for sure what was going on where.

Yeah, I think the speakers rock personally, but for gaming to can't beat a great headset. And yes photobucket is getting lame like that, i'm coming across a lot of people PB pics sending you to the main page and not to the image itself. (some do and some don't)
