Hardy Hardy Har... Me Has A New 19' WS Monitor
my Chrissy present to me.....

Well, as always, the conversation gravitated towards computers and etc... and the next thing I know I'm walking out with a new ViewSonic 19' LCD monitor for AU$250. I think Pat was just as surprised as I was... he was showing/telling me about this new Gigabyte mobo that'd go perfectly with an Intel Core Duo I've had my eye on for a while now... and the next thing he knows is that I'm handing over the cash for the monitor... no warning or indication I was even interested....
OK, so it was an impulse buy, but I'm as happy as a hog in muck with my purchase and just had to come crow about it here cos I felt like so much crap yesterday.
Oh, and before anyone says: "Why didn't you get a bigger one?"...my eyes are real close together and I wouldn't be able to see both sides of the screen...'specially when I gits meself all cross eyed on the Playboy site.
Nah, truth is, a larger one wouldn't fit in the pigeon hole on my desk, not with my speakers as well, so the 19" is perfect and just what I wanted... and my regular 19" Samsung is now hooked up to another rig I just finished assembling from mostly old parts, just got to load XP Home and Ubuntu on it and I have me a spare to play with.
Well that just about covers it for now, so see ya's 'round like a cartwheel.

I've got a 19" Viewsonic LCD too and I love it. Great color and clarity on it.

So very true...so there'll be no way any silicon is getting pumped into my monitor... me, I'll wait 'til a 44 incher comes along naturally.
BTW, I know a pair of nice DD's... Diane and Delvene Delaney, lovely girls they are, too.
Yep, I'm enjoying mine a lot as well... absolutely perfect at the 1300 x 900 resolution.

Ditto 24' 1920X1200
Glad you got a new screen tho Starkers, 19' is really big enough, main reason I went so big was for work and because I got a killer deal on it.

I bought a 19" when they were pricier, but have never regretted it. Until now. I have a 24" at work (long story on that one), and want one at home now!
Perhaps next year.
Now about those double Ds of yours......What do Ms. Starkers say about them?

I could always haul my 42" wide-screen TV over and hook my rig up to that... but then there'd be no room on my desk for all my other paraphanalia.
Besides, the have anything bigger than a 19", I'd have to remodel my desktop... and carpentry ain't one of my stronger points these days.. not when my saw would be a stay sharp knife, my hammer the heel of my shoe, and a screwdriver fashioned from an old baked beans tin lid.

Oh, and the pirate stuff...er, that was my mother's doing/getting, to go along with my cap'n starkers persona.

Why not?? A pirate cap'n 'aves ter 'ave e's own transport... passers-by on tha high seas be too far n' few between fer ta be hitchhiking between ports.

Yeah, there's nothing worse than making a set of "A's" look like "DD's". I mean, sure it's good for a time, but when you get to the "DD's", it gives you dain bramage.
Congrats on the new monitor.
