What is wrong with my taskbar?

Sunday, December 23, 2007 by ryan241 | Discussion: WindowBlinds

I have an issue, here's a picture.

My taskbar has a different color under the start button than it should in horizontal mode. I vertical mode it is perfectly fine and this happens with all skins. Any idea what's wrong?

I had a similar problem with taskbar and WB6. With new graphic card driver everything is OK. Check your drivers or programs

I've tried multiple video card driver versions and still get the same thing.

are you talking about the lighter-shaded area directly underneath the word start (on the horizontal pic)?

If so...thats because the start button is transparent and its showing the lighter glass area of taskbar underneath it. It is how it is supposed to look.

You must also keep in mind that the horiz. and vert. taskbars are different images, one for horiz. one for vert.. And since most will use vert. more as a sidebar, 3 or 4 rows, the image for vert will be different from the horiz. image to look correct when that big.

I'm talking about the two different shades of black. The left most part is lighter than the right most part.

I disabled taskbar blur and now it's gone.

Then it was probably sizing or content margins for those images.

Try adjusting them in SKS.Either the Start button section,taskbar...or both.
