problems uploading icons to gallery

I've tried a few times already and I just can't get it right. I've made 2 icons for programs i use and since i haven't found nice equivalents in the gallery, i thought i'd share them myself. First time, i admit it was my fault, i renamed the .zip file into .dockzip, even though all the icons i've downloaded so far were in .zip files, but the icon upload instructions say it has to be .dockzip. But anyway, i got an email saying that the .dockzip files i uploaded crash objectdock. Fine, i'll just reupload, this time as .zip files, and woo, it let it through as a .zip file, even though the site still said it has to be .dockzip. But today i got an email saying the zip files were corrupt. WTF? I just used the normal winxp archiver, no fancy pants winrar o 7zip or anything.
Anybody got any clue as to what might be going on and what i need to do for my icons to be acceptable if not accepted?
