Cool. Blurring effects on XP. You just killed another reason to not install Vista on my box. I've been itching to try it out. Maybe I'll just set it up on a VM...

The blurring in Vista is hardly a reason to upgrade. It's the stuff under the hood that's the important bit. Stuff you won't see in a screenshot.

I've been using vista more then xp since i got it working great. One reason is explorer doesn't crash in vista like it did in xp. I'm glad of that. Another thing is vista boots up much faster then xp. I've ran test to get vista to crash versus xp and i haven't succeeded in a vista crash yet. Same computer and hardware not to mention. But vista works much better and is more stable. When you get 150 processes on vista without lag or a crash thats great compared to xp crashing out every 5 mins with 90 processes. So folks that makes me a hardcore vista user over xp. Xp is oldschool in my book just like win2k and me when xp came out. Just depends on the person. Some people just hate change. Great work thoguh stardock can't wait to see the new windowblinds and the new skinstudio among other vista apps. Objectdock goes great with vista and its sidebar as well. I'd like to see windowblinds and skinstudio have an option to add winamp controls to the taskbar in the way it can add them to the windows which are open though. Great work.

What's the point of blurring in xp all you need do is wait a few years & it'll happen naturally that goes for vista as well,it'll give you guys more time to work on other aspects of window blinds

And that means what, exactly?

I'm also curious about the skin used in the screenshot.

I think the skin in the title post is right now an internal Stardock skin. (in another thread Brad stated they have a couple suites being used internally, but are holding off on releasing for sale)

The one in post 20 is aquarium, which now is available as just the WB, see Master skins.

So will those of us who bought 5.5 but didn't get Object Desktop have to buy 6 all over again? Or do you think it'll be a free update?

It'll be a free update to those who bought it after Feb 1st (I think).
