Phoon: Arran works okay for me. Is this giving you a white border on the same menu?
PurrBall: Indeed, which is why reproducing it on the majority of my machines would be impossible

Yes, same white border.
Rather stick a red-hot poker in my eye..

Right click My Computer and click properties on the bottom of the menu. That will take you to System Properties - Go to the Advanced Tab and to 'Performance Settings' - This will show the 'Visual Effects' tab. The second item is 'fade or slide menus into view'. UNcheck that one should make you all good. At least it worked here.
I am not sure but I think this is caused by when a skin has an annimated menu or menu highlight, it conflicts with the Windows animation on that setting.
Hope it works for you also,

Yes that worked. It's nice to be able to use those fantastic skins now.
Ok.. Stardock... Now that we know what causes it, perhaps you can develop a fix for it?

So I would have to conclude that the animations are causing the conflict and a program fix should be possible from Window Blinds.

I would not have imagined that feature would have been the cause of this issue. Nice find, mitche323!
I will let the developers know.

Necro-thread-surrection...
It looks like this was never addressed with the developers. I still happens, even on W7 and the same fix found by mitche323 is required.
Just thought I'd let you know.
