Well, now it really just doesn't make any sense! When was the last time you were able to download anything? Did you knowingly change any setting in your computer (modem, internet etc.) or install new software? I say that because sometimes programs we use or update that need the internet can change the settings.  Have you noticed anything else not working on the computer?

I am alwasys hitting keys confirming things before I read what they will do,(human nature) and it gets me in trouble everytime. If you can determine the last time downloads worked you might want try and restore to that date. If you'er not confortable with that I would suggest it's time to seek out a local "GEEK" to help you out.

I tend to believe what has been said above that the problem is not at the Stardock end. Here's one more point of encouragement, the problem that is stopping you from downloading is minor, major problems hit you square in the face. Good luck.

Are you downloading from an email? Try going to "settings" on the home page and the click "registrations" and downloading from there.

I wonder how long these stays there. I bought the suite a while back (and a lot of other ones) and it's not there. Also I could not find it in Stardock Central.
Not a problem for me as they are saved in my E-Mail, but I thought I would try to download them again and see if there was a problem.

Carolelee, I downloaded it from my E-Mail and the zip works just fine.
I really feel bad for people on dial up. My mother in law has it and I have to update her computer all the time. The long wait seems to make a lot of downloads fail. Not trying to be mean but it took me about 30 seconds on cable. Hope you find the problem.

Nope....not yet. Stardock emailed and suggested I turn off my anti-virus, pop-up killer and firewall..did that, no change. Another waste of an hour.....arrr! All I want is the WB and Icons and nothing else(18 mgs is a large file) I use Download Accelerator with no luck....I try to unzip the file, it says "no file found" I tried just clicking on it and it say invalid or corrupted file! Waiting for the man to email me back......this could take awhile to figure out(sigh)or maybe I should just ask for a refund?? Thanks for asking for an update but this is really peaving me off right now, so I had to leave the computer alone for awhile before I thow it off a cliff somewhere!

Once again I understand your fustration. Have you tried to download other items like software updates. I only ask this as it would let you know where the problem maybe, your machine (modem, internet connection/settings, software ), your dail up service or Stardock.

Just had another thought, the file is a zip file right? what program are you using to unzip it? Not all zip programs work on all zip files. I hope I'm not being a bother.

If the zip is corrupt then its crc is wrong....in other words some packets were lost....not an uncommon issue with large dls on dialup..... the longer a transfer the more likely to have modem errors.

One option would be to dl it on a friend's machine...[if different net connection]...and transfer via usb stick, etc. ...

Thanks Jafo, at this point I'll try anything! Huge files give my computer and modem the gears......something that takes over an hour to dl.....things will get lost, no dought!!
