One to Tickle Jafo, Erk.....Aussies in General.

Monday, April 9, 2007 by starkers | Discussion: WinCustomize Talk

Little Johhny was at school one Monday morning when the teacher asked what their fathers did for a living. There were the usual stock answers such as fireman, bank clerk, road worker, sales assistant, bus briver, etc, etc

Little Johnny was sitting at the back of the class and trying to hide from the teacher so as to avoid having to answer. However, the teacher spotted him and asked: "So Johnny, what is it that your father does for a living?"

"Well," he replied: "my father is an exotic dancer at a gay bar, and if the men pay him a little extra he'll take them to a motel and sleep with them."

Alarmed at little Johnny's response, the teacher quickly cleared the classroom to question him about its validity.

"Well not really miss," he said: "but you see, my dad's a test cricketer for England and I didn't want to have to admit that in front of the whole class."

I don't see what is wrong with that. It's a fairly normal occupation in Australia.

I know the words Test and Ccricket but was does Test Cricketer mean? Just wondering, don't hear that phrase in the desert southwest of the U.S.

Commonwealth Bank Series - England 2 Australia 0 - or did that conveniently slip your mind? And what a thrashing it was.

Of course, no-one made a post about it or tried to put the Australians down. Unlike you we don't need the constant ego trip.

Whatever you do, how ever many matches you win, you'll always be second best - that's what really grates and what this is all about.

Here's a better one:

After crashing out of the World Cup in the first round, the Pakistan cricket team have decided to switch sports. They've taken up bob-sleighing...

Or...

In the Pakistan dressing room after the shock loss to Ireland the team were mulling over how disappointed the coach must be with their performance when Inzamam was heard to say 'Poor Bob, he must be choked'...

Commonwealth Bank Series - England 2 Australia 0

And I quote from Roger Waters....Friday night concert in Melbourne....."good night, and thankyou for letting us win the cricket"....

Yeah, good ol' Aussie.....in some ways still a chip off the old 'Empire' block, eh!

Obviously some English traditions still survive here....thank goodness their cricket win-loss ratio isn't one of them.

isn't he the guy who makes sure no grasshoppers slip thru???

Not doing his job in England too well....given how frequently they're 'hopping' off and (back) on their seats in the dressing room, not too many cricketers slip thru, either.

sidebar for the American audience: Test cricket matches were what all that taxation without representation was about in the mid to late 1700s...

And back in the Old Dart....maybe there'd be more actual Test cricketers if you had some decent cricketer testers....to see if they can actually play - or not.

With a bit of luck, perhaps England can scrape together 12 of them for the next Ashes series...but then again.
