I was gonna get the screensaver BoXXi...but I though it would use to much energy to get to the site..so I just turned off my computer. 
OK ok...I confess! I got the screensaver and used up 6 watts of power watching it...I feel so dirty!

That's really bad!!
Movies like that do more harm than good as it is always a much harder task to convince people of an inconvenient truth than it is to convince them of something that confirms them in their old set ways.
Don't know where you get that number from, but volcanoes actually produce a whole lot of dust and aerosols, hence counteracting global warming. The Pinatubo-outbreak caused measurable dimming of the Asian continent and lead to a reduction in temperature.

Notice the careful phrasing, e.g. "is likely to ....". Truth is, only future generations might be able to look back an then judge whether we were right or not. But do we really want to take that chance?

The Aral Sea, once the fourth largest in the world is only 25% of it's former size. Gore's film implies that global warming is the cause. No mention is made of the fact that the former Soviet Union diverted the rivers that once fed it.

Humans produce not even 1% of the carbon dioxide, and other nasty stuff emitted by the volcanoes of the world.

Water-vapor is not considered to be a "greenhouse-gas" influenced by humans, as we don't produce water. Unlike CO2 it has a very short life cycle, taking only about a week before it comes back to Earth by rain/snow/hail.....short, it's in equilibrium.
And there is another very important difference between vapor and the other greenhouse-gases: vapor absorbs heat, CO2 doesn't.
The "water-vapor is the biggest greenhouse-gas"-phrase is sadly often used to imply that we humans couldn't possibly influence the composition of the atmosphere. But those people forget that water has the most unique properties of all the elements.

May I suggest The Skeptical Environmentalist: Measuring the Real State of the World?
The science and statistics have been questioned but I have as much faith in this author's numbers as I do for the-sky-is-falling environmental crowd.
The wife and I talk about this a lot and think that we can always do more for the environment but that it will never be enough for some people.
