You Know What Really Grinds My Gears?
Chicks on cell phones. As I was walking to class today I got stuck behind 10 slow moving bitches on cell phones. Now you ask what grinds your gears about that? Ok how about this? They weren't talking! All 10 of them had the cellphone up to their ears but not talking. I am not even sure they were listening to anyone. This happens all the fucking time. I get stuck in the hallway behind so bitch who is on a cellphone not even talking but just the phone up to their ear. Its as though there is someone on the other end saying, "Breathe in, Breathe out, Breathe in, Breathe out!" Why is it chicks do this? Do they feel inadequate without a cellphone up to their ear? And don't give me that, "they are listening to thier voicemail" bullshit. All the girls I know have never checked their voicemails. They only check text messages. Its even funnier when there are a group of girls walking down the street together doing the same thing. Each one completely silent. I didn't know the phone companies had a breathe assistance program. Girls must be constantly being put on hold if they are always like that. Hey girls! The phone is for communication so instead of stapling to the side of your face, put it in your pocket incase some decides to call your lonely ass.

First off I want to thank everyone who put in there input. Second I don't mean to sound stupid or anything I am keeping in the tradition of the Family Grind my Gears section. These are real things that bother the hell out of me. I appreciate you guys being open minded and sharing your experiences. If you could continue that would be awesome. I post one everyday on my gaming community forums and they love it because it helps them get out their frustrations. I am not an asshole so if you want to get to know me I am usually on Stardock IRC. Hope to talk to you more.

A) Use someone elses graphics without getting permission first
Get approved for use in the public gallery
D) Require ZERO skills to create other than copy/paste and an occasional (wow).. recolor.

People who wait at the time clock. I am at work today and for some reason everyday I end up seeing up to about 50 people employees standing around in a group waiting for 4PM on the time clock to show up. These assholes sit there for as long as 30 minutes for the time to change. Granted you have had a long day and your tired and want to go home but what gives you the right to sit by the time clock for half and hour waiting for 4PM to show up? What, You don't like your job? You don't like helping other people? Get back to work you lazy bastards. They will not even leave early. They block the bathrooms, printers, and everything else in that hallway because they will not sit at their desk and work to the time they are supposed to. No instead they will waste my (in this case tuition) to stand in a hallway and chat away with alll the other deserters. Get back to work or don't work at all.

This is whining.
Let me give you something that merits having your 'gears ground'.
Try working at a Christian based business. Your immediate supervisor is also an elder at your church, which has it's home at the same said business. You're recently born again and baptized in the local river, lead the church's praise team, writing songs for the church, teaching the youth group and asked to become an elder yourself. You're neck deep in your new found faith and loving it.
Then you find out your boss is looking at porn...teen porn on the internet...AT WORK. How? Because he admits it. He looks you in the eye and tells you he see's nothing wrong with looking at a little 't***y' once in a while. he brags about it. Every other day he wants to talk about it. You keep your mouth shut, even though you have to face this guys wife and son.You go to your pastor who tells you that you need to learn how to handle this situation to be a good Christian. You do what he says, but it gets no where and your boss is locking himself up more and more in his office to look at more porn.
The whole time, there are about 200 or so kids running around the place. all ages, in the locker rooms, pool, etc., that you and your 'boss' are responsible for. Hundreds of family's have paid good money to be members of this organization and they trust you and the organization.
So after months, you go back to the pastor repeatedly and finally tell him it's way out of control and you need him to step in. He does. he sits down with the both of you and lets the other man berate and yell at you. Tell you how disappointed he is in you for going to the pastor. The Pastor says nothing. When it's all said and done, he has convinced the pastor he only did it once and he'll never do it again. Then they both go the person who manages this branch of the organization and tell them 'his' story and you are called in and told you made a mountain out of a molehill.
You ask 'him' and his boss if they would like to go to his computer and see who's exagurating. He immediately freaks and she says 'no'. You ask her if she is comfortable having him around the teenagers, the girls, going into the locker-rooms and such. She tells you to let it go. So does the pastor.
And you are taken off the praise team. Elders come up to you and tell you that because you are from the north, a yankee, you don't know how things work. That you need to shut up because it 'doesn't concern you, it's his bussiness, why are you trying to bring this out into the light, let God handle it' and eventually you are outcast.
Finally, through severe stenosis of the spine, after you have quit the job because he is STILL looking at porn and no one will listen, you find yourself paralyzed from the waist down twice. You go in for major surgery on your spine and...no one from your church comes. Your pastor doesn't come. Only the pastor from your sister-in-laws church who you have never met before, but greatly appreciate. You appreciate it even though, at this point in your life where you have taken 40 some years to turn your life over to God, you have no faith in God, the church, or community. And you drive by the place you worked at least a dozen times or more a week because it's a 1/4 mile from your house, you have no choice. And you see his truck in the lot. You see it there at 8 in the morning and at 2 in the morning when you know he has no business being there, because he can't do what he does on the computer at his house around his family. And it makes you sick when you see the hundreds of kids going in and out.
That really grinds my gears.

Wow your boss is an asshole and it sounds to me that if your pastor really was a good father he would stand up for what he believes in and sticks to your side. I am not a religious person. In fact I hate religion, its teachings, and its ideas. I have my discrepincies with the bible and its many stories. But I respect those that believe in a hire power and want to keep a belief in faith. It sound to me your religion has disowned you. Southern religions are based soully on old ideas and are not set to the globalization of the earth as it is today. They are stuck behind years of tradition and they are jaded by change. If I were you I would find a better religion that embraces your passion for faith and bring these issues to them. Find a church were their beliefs are geniwine but their thinking is more of the present. Where everyone is accepted and what is socially unacceptable. If I were the priest I would be ashamed of myself. Your boss is a horrible person. Like I said I think religion is a joke so I maintain a level of narrow minded ness, I believe born again Christians go to far and take your money. I believe that Southern Baptists are just a group of raciest white supremesists. My aunt was married to a southern baptist and due to his religion and his narrow minded ness she was unable to see or communicate with her homosexual daughter. If I did not live so far from them I would have gone and given him a piece of my mind. Diversity is an issue and a line that is slowly deteriorating and if religions cannot find a middle ground of a better way of dealing with it or their own teaching then they are the ones going to the firey underworld.
Stand up to the elders because they are pig headed and idiotic. Come back to the north where all religions are accepted. I now feel your in danger considering your religion does not look to well upon outsiders. Most southern religions are no better then scientology and that is just a cult. Be weary. I quit that church. Pretty much done with church all together. It's the second time I've gotten burned and I'm not looking for a third. It hurts too much to put that much of yourself into something and have your faith rocked down to it's foundation, ending up where you were before you found it, asking 'why?' and getting only silence.

hahhaha Gummy Po's hahahah Thats good. If you look into it further religion is just a distraction from life and there really is no basis to it. Thats just my opinion everyone don't jump on me. Anyway. I am glad that you have found somehting that keeps you happy.
Oh yeah on my way back into work this morning I found a librarian standing by the time clock READING A BOOK!!! I am glad I am working my ass off and she has time to sit and read a book while waiting to leave a half and hour later.

When clicking on a link resizes my damn browser window without *asking* me first. It just does it, for no apparent reason!
When the recent posts list only shows like 10 topics, and the next page has omitted 4 hours of new posts.

Bebi, assuming you're on Firefox, go to Tools>Options>Content>Click the 'Advanced' button>uncheck 'Move or resize existing windows.'
