Lantec, Yes I agree, children should not give out their real name. I guess then, by the different responses one should ask first before using a persons real name!!

As an adult, I have no problem with anyone using either my real name (Mike) or my nick. I realize there's a certain amount of "danger" in that (identity theft for one) but I'm a big boy and I can take the risk.
Having said that, I would stress that children should NOT give out their real name over the internet due to the increased amount of "danger" that entails. I don't consider this site dangerous but it's better to be safe than sorry.
