Well---- I installed it on my version of Vista and it crashed explorer on the first skin change!

I restarted and then it hung my desktop prior to loading all startup items.

Third restart and now all seems ok- so far.

Only thing is I run webshots on my desktop and on every restart windowblinds applies its wallpaper and I can't seem to find out how to stop that.

All in all I plan on using it and seeing how it goes.

Works like a precision machine on both my DT XP PRO SP2, and on my LT XP Home SP2.
The "fade" on GUI-change is great.

Working well on RC 2. I have a question though. I tried to use IconPackager on RC2 and it does not change the icons. I there somewhere that lists what OD products work on Vista at the current time? Thanks in advance for the info

This works great on 5744! Looks like I won't have to do much tweaking to my skins either.

I just installed the beta and I tried out the Evolution skin at GUI champs. When I applied that skin my wallpaper changed. I tried to find the setting to prevent WB applying wallpapers, but could not find it. Anyone else seen it?

I have noticed a bug which happends with any skin I have tried.
When a window is maximised, the clickable areas for the minimize, maximize, and close button is not the same as when the window is not maximised. I noticed that if I tried to push the Restore or Minimize button the window was closed. If I clicked somewhat to the left of all the buttons (on the titlebar) the window would Restore, and if I clicked even further out it would minimize.

thomassen: Make sure the wallpapers page in Wbconfig is not set to Skin wallpaper.

If anyone does find a skin needs tweaking to look right on Vista, it would be helpful if you could let us know what needed changing & what you did to it so we can see if a generic tweak can be implemented.

After I saw this I finally installed the RC1 that I got earlier this year. I had the 5.49 instealled earlier on XP and it worked fine but it's not working on Vista. I uninstalled WB and then reinstalled. When I click to select a WB, it goes through all the procedures but the default Vista graphics are staying in place. I'm brand new to Vista, so if there's something I need to disable so WB will work, please let me know. All suggestions appreciated, TIA.

Neil: The problem is that I cannot find that setting in WB5.5. I used to set that setting in previous version.

I have yet to find a solution to the titlebarbutton problem I found. I thought it was a WB bug and not a skin bug since the buttons works fine except when the windows are maximised.

I tried to edit my earlier note but now it says I can't. No idea why. Anyway, the other problem is that WB is *not* showing up in the notification area. Is something blocking it from starting?

I don't see it anymore either, it use to be in Basic Settings, which seems to no longer exist.

For the wallpaper problem, just pick a wallpaper from the list and apply it. Then you can use whatever wall you want after that. The default seems to be the first box..."Skin Wallpaper", and you need to pick a wall to keep it from using the default. No box to check anymore. It worked for me anyway.

I have a question. If someone were to install WBVista (on a computer running vista,of course...), and Aero doesn't work on that specific computer, because of Video adapter issues, are per-pixel skins similar to Aero available using WBvista as they were in XP?
