Weather Docklet Problems.

Friday, August 18, 2006 by MasturJeff | Discussion: ObjectDock

My weather docklet hasn't been working for over a week or two. I searched these forums and people said it was just a server problem for a few hours/days.

It still says Weather Information Unavailable.

Can someone test my zipcode (31404) and tell me if its working?

I also show Object Dock as allowed in my firewall setting in TrendMicro.

Hmm. I allowed Object Dock in my firewall (I have McAfee Personal Firewall free from comcast) and just to make 100% sure I turned off the entire firewall program itself and still wasn't getting anything.

So do other programs run fine when launched from OD, i.e. Internet Explorer, FireFox, Web Search Docklet?

Mhm.

This is weird.

I just installed what appears to be an older version of the weather docklet (the .dll file says 2003 compared to the one that I had that said 2004) and its now running fine.

Are you using the letters & numbers that are found in the address bar after you have arrived at the web page that shows your current weather as shown in the picture above ?
