| I for one really do not look at a submitted wallpaper and think "OMFG!!! the pathos...the angst...the raw emotion captured in every tortured Bryce button-press...a brilliance of visual expression!!!" as I cup my face in both hands, mouth agape in a silent scream.... |

If everyone says Ignore the ratings and if no one believes them and they don't matter.
Why is there a ratings system?
On most sites I can at least tell something about the skin or wall paper or whatever by the ratings.
Here I am forced to ignore the ratings and guess at what might be quality work or not for my once a month or less choice of what I download.
Sometimes comments do give me a clue, sometimes not.
Looks bewilderedly at the admins.
Why the ratings? I read much here about site lag problems (and do experience some really horrible problems logging on the site)
So please forgive my ignorance, but wouldn't minimizing some features or removing them improve performance? Not to mention help with maintenance? Also if ratings have no credibility with the users does this not reduce credibiity with the over all site as well?
Oh well, this old geezer probably doesn't understand the new web mentality anyway.
Please understand as well, I'm NOT a skinner just apprecate good work and looking at the skins and very rarely do download one as I can’t afford to purchase the full membership at the moment and do not want to take advantage of bandwidth since I'm not purchasing.
Please login to comment and/or vote for this skin.
