Photoshop problem

Saturday, April 1, 2006 by Jaramia | Discussion: WinCustomize Talk

Well I just started using photoshop today and i started to do some tutorials. I came to a problem where i cannot use some tools on a shape...
First i make the backround, then i make new layer, then i make a circle with the Ellipse tool, then i attempt to use another tool on this layer such as the Burn tool and a error comes up saying 'Could not use the burn tool because the content of the layer is not directly editable' There may be a simple solution but i would appretiate the help.

Probably the layer you want to edit is a raster layer. It has to be a vector layer to be edited. If so, you can delete the raster layer and add a new vector layer to continue

This is because you are creating a vectorial circle, change it to a bitmap and you're done
