Mary Jane, this is an absolutely gorgous WB. You really did a fantastic job on this and I really, really appreciate it. I am trying out WB 6 at work running Vista. Its fantastic and works great. I'm not sure where to start, so here we go:

The short of it is that your WindowsBlinds made me think someone vomited on my eyes.

While this may be a huge accomplishment to you and your semi-retarded cousin Ernest, who probably helped you to figure out Skin Studio, to people who actually have an eye for color and design, it is as if you have assaulted us all. If you wish to find a positive review from me, please go back to 1998 and publish it on your Geocities account when skinning on Windows 98 was a new thing and people would accept whatever pig vomit was thrown at them. But from this point on I will do a full critique of what I think is bad (read: everything) and what I may happen to think is good (read: nothing, unless you count deleting it from my skins directory, cause I wish I could do that more than once).

The first thing I'd like to touch on is the font choice, could you be more defaultish? Tahoma and Trebuchet MS? Really, a fall theme should at least have a fall font, Garamond comes to mind. Honestly, the point of skinning is for something new and different, not the same old thing which is what you have left me with.

Next, your start button. It's orange and square with a leaf, it's the ugliest thing I've ever seen, and that says a lot since I've seen all three Saw movies thus far and that's some pretty extreme usage of ugly. Hell I saw Gigli, that was an all out assault on my eyes and thus your skin has still done more damage, congrats Hitler.

Continuing in the same area, your task bar. This is probably my favorite part of your skin, with the exception of deleting which I have already touched base on. The orange on blackish gray is bad but it's not as bad as the rest of your skin. I wish the rest of it was less ugly.

And now we come down to your system tray area. Again with the bright orange... Why do you hate everyone and assault them with bright colors? Why? You didn't even make all the icons fit, along with the horrible button that reveals the unused icons. Your grays don't even match up with the rest of the task bar, which is bad because you probably made this in paint and there are only sixteen base colors to choose from and it's hard to confuse them.

Speaking of Paint, was that your main tool in this monstrosity? The background along with the disproportionate pumpkin icons in the dock and start menu are horrible. It looks as though someone taught you how to copy and paste and you went from there. Honestly, proportion is a good thing, it makes the world go round and the ugly less ugly, you could use some lessons in such.

Now we'll move from the ground up to the window frames. Pure shit, that's all I can really say about that. It looks as though someone taught you how to use the gradient tool. I do admit that the window frames do look rounded because of it, but it's still horrid. As with the rest of the skin, that technique is also extremely tired. The button themselves are also visually revolting. It looks as though you tried to reverse engineer a mac looking skin into this pile of wretchedness which isn't far off from many mac themes on windows, so you're not completely at fault here, but you still released this, thus acknowledging your want to make the world a less happy place.

From here I'll move into the actual windows themselves... The menus and the orange boxes are enough to make me hate the color, in fact, your whole skin is. So let me just say thank you, I hate the color orange now, not that I enjoyed it much to begin with, but you put the final in its coffin. Along with the boxes, the controls, the tabs and the buttons. Seriously, it looks like you smashed a pumpkin on everything, which I suppose is relevant with autumn but you made me completely and utterly hate autumn.

And I think I'll wrap this up cause I'm getting too sick to continue, but the leaves. Yes your skin feels very much like autumn, but there are other ways to get the feel rather than filling the screen with putrid orange boxes and 10 different kinds of leaves. But that is all I can manage to get out right now. But one final thing, for all of you above that find this skin good, please gain a sense of style and never release your own skins, cause I'd hate to see a much worse version of this.

Thank you, tippy. Autumn is my favorite season of the year....the colors are so awesome! I think I enjoyed making this blind more than any of the other ones I have made. Are you running the blind on Vista? I need a tester who is running Vista to test my blinds for me on that OS. I don't have Vista, and won't have it anytime soon. So, far, no one has informed me that any of my blinds don't work on Vista. If you are interested, give me a shout! (I am working on 2 blinds right now that I hope to have finished by the middle to end of November.) And thank you so much for the feedback...it means a lot to me. ��

As far as your "critique" of my blind....didn't your mother teach you any manners? Flaming someone is not any way to win friends.

Until you show that you are a master at skinning, kindly keep your rude and obnoxious opinios to yourself. If you don't like the blind, just move on and keep your mouth shut! Your behavior is totally unacceptable, and I hope you get banned from this site!

You're right about me just joining today, I had to voice my opinion on how badly I hated your skin and sure I didn't download it while signed in but rest assured, I used the vile piece of skinware. And yes I have a pretty good idea what I'm talking about cause I may not have made any skins, I know what is tasteful and you do not.

And as for looking for friends, I'm not. If I wanted friends who made skins on this site I would kill myself since most are as bad as yours, if not worse.

how to dowload��

hoang, just click on the downlaod button and the blind should download and install itself...provided you have the Windowblinds software. That is needed to be able to use the skin.

Thanks, angus. One of the drawbacks of living in Florida is the lack of definitive seasons, but I would never want to live anywhere else. I grew up in Ohio....and remember the beautiful colors of fall, but I no longer like the cold weather! ��
