How do you have a My computer Icon in your start menu, but have one or your desktop that isn't a shortcut? I haven't found out a way to do that

I am having a serious problem with this skin!!! It's great in every way except the top part of my start menu (where name and icon should be) just appears black. the skin seems to malfunction here and instead of the smooth design, I just have solid black. how can I fix this??

C Bla - what version of WindowBlinds are you running and on what version of Windows? Do you have an enhanced version of WB?

Last time I checked, I was running 4.0 enhanced on XP Pro. What happens sometimes is that when I hit start, the menu appears normal for a split second and then goes black.

You should seriously update to 4.3. Are you an ObjectDesktop subscriber? Then you can download it now. I bet that's the reason to your problem.

two criticsms though:
1/ the bold fonts just don't do it for me. A bit hard to read.
2/ a bit dark in some places. try the favorites menu and the text doesn't invert to white which doesn't make it easy to read. some applications do the same thing with their tooltips & ed items. The ed item highlight colour could be made lighter to provide the necessary contrast.
I might have a go at fixing these myself if you don't get a chance.
Otherwise it's a worthy alternative to my all time favorite, the Orion skin.
