Very nice and I usually don't like dark skins, of which this has some parts that are "dark". My only beef is lack of color in the toolbar icons, even if they just did it on mouse over it would be better imho.
All in all though very original and a pleasure to use.

Mary Marino: If you look in the folder that contains all the Cardinal Skin graphics, you'll find USER_PIC.bmp/green_USER_PIC.bmp/ and Blue_USER_PIC.bmp
Just go to Control Panel>User Accounts
Click on your account name, then "Change my picture", then browse to the Cardinal Skin folder and one of the 3 user_pic images. You should also open your windowblind "User Overrides" window, then check/ the "Show user icon in startpanel" item. It didn't show up until I rebooted my computer.

I like this a lot. Just one thing, near the Min Max and clsoe buttons, that slope, it's a little jagged. But damn good otherwise.

In my office I have three PCs. They now all run Cardinal, one colour per PC - it sure helps when running remote desktops! Really nice work.

Well any way im having a tiny bit o trouble with the start bar. instead of getting the nice user pick and the red background on the name it just comes up with the user pic and name no background just black (on the top of the start bar).
any help would be welcome

phrost byte, Michael asked the same question in Danish. I don't know what causes this. I haven't encountered this problem myself. At home there's no problem, then I just downloaded it and applied it here at work and no problem. Perhaps it's a configuration issue? Or you could try and restart and see if it looks OK.

Well I tried restarting that didnt fix it, well i have a logon screen but i only have 1 user, would this effect it? well i duno ill mess around some more. Thnx ne way

I really hope those Microsoft people are looking. There are some really talented skinners here turning out better than anything that's ever come out of Redmond. Either this skin or Stealth OS should win. Just keep going back to them, they are just what an OS gui should be. Not too flashy and perfectly professional and usable. Cheers to you, Pixel Pirate!

Only issue I have is that on the sub menus off the start menu the arrow is right next to the text on the longest name> <- like that, could it be made to be -> longest name > ? It would be neater, and when you an item the highlighted text would not cover up the >

I have been looking at some pretty amazing skins over the past two years but have never found THE one that I would want to keep coming back to. Now I have. Fantastic work. This one deserves the top honors.

Mary Marino, I'd guess you could do that in SkinStudio under Taskbar and Start Menu.
WindowBlinds is <b>not</b> a memory hog, and I don't think the skin has that much to say, maybe if there's plenty of animations? My system currently uses 600 kb physical and 2 mb virtual memory on WindowBlinds. That's not very much huh?
