I'm usually a lurker and like to use the wallpapers, and if I had the tools, I'd contribute some sci-fi work myself. This is freakin' awesome work. Other than the upholstry, which should either not exist or be torn and more weathered for its clear lack of use, this is spot on. This is the most realistic work I've seen. I think you would do very well as a steam punk artist. This level of realism and creative design would make for great steam punk.
