I use only Photoshop - I must work sometimes with Corel at my office I HATE IT 
I think Photoshop is better to understand and learn.
I work since 10 Years with Photoshop and I never found a better Programm for graphical works - for Vectorfiles I take Illustrator.
But Mormegils Icons are beautyful and done with COREL, so take Corel
