Martin, Really like this widget!! However, when I try to use it my Norton anti-virus goes crazy with "malicious script detected" warnings. I'm sure this is a quirk with Norton, not the widget. Any ideas what causes this?? I'd like to use it, but with all the bad stuff on the web, I don't dare turn off the Norton. (

The only thing this does that could concern Norton is reading and writing to the registry to store the company so it is retained next time you use the Widget.

Am I right in thinking that this only works for the US? Any chance of re-working it to use UK stocks?

This is a great little widget, but there is one little problem. When I click on the graph, the title of the graph is for the selected stock, but the graph is of the first stock in the list.

This was fixed - depends when you downloaded. Give it another whirl.

Any chance we can get a modification that will allow us to add more stocks to the list?

I got the same results as Thaanx, same graph for each stock. Other than that minor issue, works great!

OK, this is now (once and for all fixed). Not sure what was going wrong with the upload.

As for gas prices etc, if you can advise me where these are on Yahoo then I can fix them.

UK stocks work - check out Aviva. Just place an "L." prefix before the stock.

Not likely to allow more to be added as I don't have the time presently. Anyone else is welcome to modify this object though.

Hi Martin

Sorry I don't have your e-mail, or I would have sent this via e-mail. I have a ? for you - I'm using your simple stock monitor, and I'm not sure why I'm getting this internet explorer script error (I have a screenshot of the windows error box should you want to see it), but here's the info

line 2
char 9
error invalid character
code 0
url http://finance.yahoo.com/q/cq?d=v1&s=MSFT+BPUR+HOFF+SIRI+ORCL+INTC&rnd=0.6674575

I click 'Yes' to keep running scripts, then I get the error once again

line 2
char 9
error invalid character
code 0
url http://finance.yahoo.com/q/cq?d=v1&s=MSFT+BPUR+HOFF+SIRI+ORCL+INTC&rnd=0.6674575

I click 'Yes' again, and then it updates the stocks...

So it works, per se, but, I don't want to have to click yes twice every 15 mins, ya know? lol The funny thing is, it DOES update the stock

Would really be nice if it worked properly. It doesn't update properly. says it is updating constantly, even after manual update. Does work correctly sometimes. Second symbol box has overwritten words no matter what I change it to. Charts don't change correctly unless you update or start it again. Otherwise, It's great!

martin, this widget works properly. thanks.

I may be wrong, but does this widget share some code with your currency converter widget ??

because this one does update correctly, whereas the currency converter is stuck in "updating" forever.

Possibly - I think yahoo changes their format - I'll look at tweaking it
