The Object Desktop manager shows that Desktop X is not compatible with Win10 so I never installed it when I upgraded to Win10. Can I actually install the most recent version offered by Stardock?

I don't know if the one in your downloads will work or not. Install at your own risk.
The beta that I have was never released, I know it works. But it isn't supported.
