WB 5 + Per Pixel + Adding Sounds

any way to do it?

Thursday, January 26, 2006 by NetBadger | Discussion: WindowBlinds

The title pretty much says it all. Night Train mentioned in an earlier post that he didn't think you could add sounds to per pixel buttons with Window Blinds version 5. At least not through the Skin Studio interface. I wondered if anybody found a way to add sounds to the per pixel buttons by adding code directly to the skin?

Great........another flaw in the new shiny version of windowblinds. Stardock made money getting everyone involved in upgrading to a worthless version of windowblinds
Lets see, so far you can't add sounds and you can't skin the mdi window, I guess you can't add roll up buttons either. Whats next?

NetBadger's tone does suck. The features of WB5 were well worth the upgrade and the loss of some features. It would be nice though, to have all the features of WB4.6.

I breifly checked the FAQ at https://www.stardock.helpserve.com/index.php?_m=knowledgebase&_a=view&parentcategoryid=37&nav=0%2C1 and didn't see any mention of features that went away with WB5. A chart or table or something; a timeline on getting those features back in.

I wasn't referring to NetBadger, but rather Adam Michael's post.

Hey people,
You do realize that we are only at version 5.00[b].011 NOT even updated to v.5.1
and if you've had OD a wkile you know stardock always has a BETA out. Give em time before you whine.

Forgiveness granted Adam. Just protect that rib, or we may have Eve problems!

I'm a strong supporter of Wincustomize both financially and in participation. We all get frustrated sometimes, but you'll not find me lashing out at Stardock or WinCustomize in that kind of tone.

On a side note, My Blade Runner skin does support Roll-up. What you have to do is go into the "User Overrides" section of the WindowBlinds browser and click on the "Advanced Settings" then choose from the drop down menu to allow for roll-ups. This does work on WB5 skins.

Oops forgiveness recinded Adam. It was Zubaz asking. I just looked at the last line Bad Adam.

Took it as a self flagellation... like bad badger, bad.

Oh, well.. you get the idea.

Get it right...WB5 works fine and supports those features...the current version of Skinstudio doesn't support those features yet. The software you bought isn't broken or "worthless". We simply can't add those features during a build as of yet. Skinstudio 5.0 is still for the most part in beta. Give it time...the minor features will be there soon.
