Size of fly out tabbed docks when docked to left or right side of screen

Covers the half of my screen

Friday, January 13, 2006 by MrDataGA | Discussion: ObjectDock

I'm using OD+ for three containers, of which one is a tabbed dock.

I used to have this dock positioned at the top of my screen, and when I hovered over it, it appeared showing one row of icons. This way I could normally select any icon with my mouse.

As a number of programs lose their readability with the dock at this position, I decided to move it to the right side of my screen.

When I now move my mouse, however, over the tabbed dock, it flies out till about half of my screen and with some tabs only containing three icons, I have to move my mouse to the far left of the tab. Then, when it's closed, it moves all the way back to the right side of the screen.

I cannot seem to position the icons vertically on a separate tab, if I move any icon, it's automatically repositioned horizontally on the tab.

Is there a way to position the icons vertically on a tab, when it's docked to the left or right side, so when it's activated it only flies out the width of the icon ?

I hope I'm clear describing my situation, should you need any further information for answering, please do not hesitate to ask for it.

Thanks for your thoughts,

Gerard

Right click the dock, and select "Detach form edge" Now you can resize it in the much the same way you would a window (hover over the edges until you get the resizing arrows). Once resized, you can right click and select "Attach to edge".

Hope that helps.
