Can anyone help?

Thursday, January 12, 2006 by MeiMeiLala | Discussion: Community

I used BootSkin to change the Boot design and I decided against it, so using BootSkin I set it to default, now I get 2 options when I start up WindowsXP, use WindowsXP (Original) or WindowsXP.
I can't get rid of it, any help?

Does it give you the option to boot into Safe mode?

Try uninstalling Bootskin and re-installing. If that doesn't work probably is not Bootskin related.

Open C:\boot.ini with Notepad or any text editor. Under the "[operating systems]" line you should see 2 or more operating system entries. Delete the unnecessary one.
IMPORTANT: YOu should create a system-restore point, in case anything !$()% happens)
Good luck!
